Waves To Happiness 

Waves to Happiness is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit surf camp founded in 2025 by lifelong waterman Albert Ruiz. Created with the mission of connecting local youth to the ocean, the program uses surfing as a powerful tool for education, confidence-building, and personal growth.

With a deep respect for the sea and decades of experience in the water, Albert is passionate about teaching the next generation the fundamentals of ocean safety, surf knowledge, and environmental awareness. Through hands-on learning and meaningful mentorship, Waves to Happiness aims to inspire the same love and respect for the ocean that has shaped Albert’s life.

 

More than just a surf camp, Waves to Happiness is about empowering kids, building community, and creating lifelong connections between youth and the ocean.
